BENJAMIN FOODS TO HOST ALEX’S LEMONADE STAND TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER

In an effort to join the battle against childhood cancer, Hatboro’s Benjamin Foods Restaurant Superstore will host an Alex’s Lemonade Stand on Saturday, June 23 from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at 1001 S. York Rd., Hatboro, PA 19040.

The lemonade stand will be held in conjunction with Benjamin Foods’ 2012 Summer Kickoff, an outdoor event that will offer fun for the entire family. Local residents and business owners are invited to attend the free event and enjoy live music, rides, face painting, a petting zoo, free food, giveaways, raffles and more. Meet former Flyer and 2-time Stanley Cup Champion Bernie Parent from 1:00 to 2:30 pm and former Eagle and WIP Sports Radio Host Ike Reese from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $50 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 200 research projects nationally.

BENJAMIN FOODS ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING OF RESTAURANT SUPERSTORE

Hatboro, PA, October 12, 2011:  Benjamin Foods is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new Restaurant Superstore, which will be held on October 17, 2011 at 1001 South York Road, Hatboro. The new cash and carry operation will allow food service operators and the general public the opportunity to purchase various food, paper goods, restaurant equipment, and supplies on-site at discounted prices.  The week-long grand opening celebration will kick off with special events each day through October 22, including food demonstrations, samples, prizes, giveaways, exclusive deals and more.
